the loading screen wont go away

Landlubber
so i am playing the jack sparrow questline.. and i am at the part where cutler sinks my ship and takes me prisoner..

so that evil stormy start video comes up and after that a loading screen.
a "shore loading screen" so that loading coin goes away and music starts. i can attack with my sword and i pressed enter i could hear my quest log update. i also heard that i could enter menys and stuff.
so the only problem is that the loading picture wont go away... but it is kinda a big problem too..
the game is responding to everything but can you guys please help me fix this problem?

i even manage to get to another loading zone with walking around in blind but after it loads the old loading screen is still there..

i tried to remove the loading picture from the game.. but now i only get a black screen insted... but the game is still working...

is there a change of a small fix so i dont have to start a new game?.... again <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />o)

pretty please with some rum on the top? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Uh...? That's a weird one. Do you have a savegame from prior to that point so you can try again?
We heard reports about storm troubles before and I don't think they're fixed yet. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

yea i haved loaded back to another save but the problem is still there. i used the fast travel feature to get to the sea.. i wanted to find out if the loading screen would be gone. but the game crashes when i do that.. where is this shore? i can try to sail there myself and see if this problems shows up when i sail there myself..

It's probably the "storm" problem; that's been reported before and needs to be looked into. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

well the stormy start for the standard storyline seems to work.. is this something that happens to everyone. or is this bug not so common?

Seems to be pretty common during the standard and Jack Sparrow storyline storms for whatever maddened reason. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

I have just played the Mings storyline ( with Patch 4) and it stops after JS is captured by Beckett at the lighthouse. When you leave lighthouse beach you are taken straight to the storm, but Davy Jones beach scene does not load, game just stops dead.

On the Brin/ Brock story line the Davy Jones beach scene did not load, got the loading screen then game stops dead. ( This is after sinking Volcano, meeting barbossa on martinique, then going back to Lighthouse bay & being captured by Beckett).

On the Mings quest, above, the quest fails after having gone to find treasure with Phillipe & Maximus finding treasure going to Cayman, then Turks then to Lighthouse Bay to be captured by Beckett.

In both cases after Beckett stops talking you hit the space bar to end the dialogue and the storm scene starts immediately, unlike the Billy Brock Tester where the storm only starts after you board Becketts ship and enter the world map.

In the game Beckett runs up to you when you land on the beach and talks to you immediately, whereas on the Billy Brock tester Beckett stays at the back of the Beach and you have to walk up to him to talk, and when dialogue is finished walk down the beach to the rowing boat and go to Beckett's ship then sail out of the bay and enter the world map for the storm scene to trigger.

The Billy Brock tester storm scene where you choose the capture by Beckett option takes you to Davy Jones on Far Beach on Barbados and appears to work perfectly.

This is the exact problem I run into: The loading screen just freezing up.

What is this Billy Brock Tester you speak of? What is different about it and either of the other two story arcs which result in being teleported straight onto Beckett's ship after ending the dialog sequence? More importantly, why does this tester work while the regular quest lines do not? Has an answer to this question been discovered yet?

The Billy Brock tester is something <u><i><b>I</b></i></u> use when testing the game and want to get to a certain scene quickly. I would rather others not use it as it
A) makes the game harder (if your not cheating) and
B) makes them skip a lot of storyline
It is not a Story arc at all it is simply a skipping tool to help test.
