The quest Strange things going on ....

Rad

Privateer
I think the strange things going on in this quest rather than in archipellago. I am playing just now this quest in my B12.1 + MP version of game. I am in the stadium I received the further concrete task to find the animits´ lair and destroy them and rescue the Padre Domingues. I have the Maltese knight Joaquim de Masse in my company already. We found in jungle of Isla Muelle this animits´ lair talk to them a little and especially with their boss and then we killed them all. And Padre Domingues is here jailed and instead of abandoning his cell after some his talking with Nathaniel, Nathaniel is talking to Padre something like that "I have no business with you this time" and Padre is still staying in his cell and nothing happens here. It seems to me something wrong is with this quest. And what is strange even more is the thing that after our destroying this animists´ lair absolutely nothing appears in the Quest book. This could be great quest if would be somehow corrected, repaired and replenished. Some clues in it are really very weak or disappears completely in some stadiums of it. :modding

Is this a problem with B12.1 only or did it occur in other versions of the build as well? If the latter, maybe you haven´t killd all of the animists, it happend to me as well the first time I played the quest, I just mssed the room behind the throne, where the las one had hidden. Normally, you should get a Questbook update if you´ve killed all animists.

Try to board your ship, if the "Mefisto" appears, you got them all, if not, you´ll have to go back ashore.

But I do agree with you, this is the worst described quest in the game and needs some serious fixing.

Grimm, I don´t know, I must honestly tell you I got in this quest so far for the first time because I rather play this game all the the time anew and anew as new Builds are appearing or I omitted it because it isn´t crucial for the game or I stopped to play it when I lost somewhere on my way. But I think it could be very good and interesting quest if it would work properly. What a pitty. And I think I did all properly even killed the person behind the throne - it was their chief. I played this place several times and even talked to him first. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

I have already made a fix for this quest so you don't get lost after talking to Ines at the QC tavern. This has not been uploaded for inclusion in B12.3 because it involves the creation of a new character and thus requires the start of a new game. It will be included in B13.

I'm in a spot right now to test the rest of this quest, so I'll take a look at it to see what else can be done to make it clearer. If it's something I can fix, I'll do it. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

Thanks for the head's up, Rad! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

Been working on this today and have found much better ways to get the info to you and fixed a missing loop or two... Not finished yet, but I think you all will be very pleased at how it all fits together. The quest will be clearer, and make more sense... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

It´s a good news Catalina. I think this is one of the the most important work for now in the Builds so as the game would hapen more and more attractive. Good working quests and some more new convoluted and thrilling quests with more dialogs. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" />

Getting to be more work than I expected, but that's okay, it's rewarding to see a quest running more smoothly. This one has always been a problem, who'da thunk it'd be little old me doing the work? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/oops3.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":eek:ops2" border="0" alt="oops3.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="^_^" border="0" alt="happy.gif" />

Well <cat voice> once you turn to the Dar--err, Modding, side, there's no going back! </cat voice> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

<snicker> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> Yup. Actually, I think I am getting better at this, so once the new locations can be used, I'd really like to get into writing the continuation of the Armand/Estrella quest...

I might pass my Sneaky Trader off to someone else to finish... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" />
