I have only dabled with the Sims in the past, but this new pack caught my interest. Looks as if they treat the Pirates and Nobles as two new opposing factions within which you choose a side/character to support with multiple new quests.

Not really my cup of tea as it lacks any real historical underpinning/frame of reference, but I thought some of ye other swabs more into the fantasy side of things might enjoy it. MK

I have the Sims 3 and two expansion packs, it's fun for a while but then I got kind of bored of it and uninstalled it. I might go back to it again one day, although the FB version has been keeping me amused.

In regards to Medieval, I thought about getting it but didn't when I noted I was barely playing the Sims game I did have.

When I was a little boy, I remember playing the original Sims with my friends. Let the good times roll! :piratesahoy!

Sims got very boring for me after a while. So I didn't bother with any others. I mean, what else do you ACTUALLY do when you've done everything you could think of? Eat, sleep, crap, talk more, and pay £25/$40 just for an expansion that will last you a couple of weeks or so. EA are just trying to rip people off as usual. I can't belive I wasted so much money on the expansions when I was younger :modding

Not saying any of them are bad games, just that it gets repetitive and seems a bit of a gimmick with all these expansions. I'd probably play the pirates and nobles for around 3 weeks before I exhausted every possible thing out of it. Does look alright though, but I'm growing out of Sims games in all honesty.

Agree! So many games, apart from Sims are nowadays very boring, especially PC games, with pretty few exceptions. Unfortunately, PC gaming is slowly dying.

In all honesty Akella Fan, PC gaming could pretty much improve, if they didn't keep having all these exclusives for game consoles and actually released them on PC as well more often. :)

Yes, but the interest in that is pretty much 0. But still, we have devoted developers, like Akella, Blizzard, Crytek etc.
