Hows about this.

I came to the Tavern with the intention to create a riot,
So I went to bar and asked for a rum but then realised i had nought to buy it,
So i turned to another pirate shoved off his stool he was mad, but I replied just try it.
He swung for me missed me nose and blundered into another pirate.
That was it the tavern was up turned the pirates creating a riot.

Well I got me riot but not me rum,
So i pulled old Fred Bob over and ripped his gold tooth from his gum.
I went to the bar and bought me my rum,
I went to a table,
the last at which to sit I was able,
For the riot was far from over infact had just started,
The heap on the floor stirred and farted,
It was old Fred Bob he'd recovered and so darted,
and screamed u bugger gimme that rum,
That was payed by the tooth from my gum,
Fred Bob hit me Numb,
then scat me on me bum!

hehehe
my first lame attempt at poetry for years!

The following attempt at a limerick should be used as a good excuse for all of us to head to the Douwesan Waterfall and start drinking. Last one there has to read the limerick aloud while everyone else throws things at them. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bookish.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":mm" border="0" alt="bookish.gif" />

Shakespeare once stated, "The play is the thing,"
That's most likely to catch, "the conscience of the king",
But when forcing his pentameter'd verses iambic,
They don't fit in the feet of a "subconscious" limerick
All you get is a linguistic string!
 
Now we know Ming's string's the thing
to really catch the conscience of the King.
But a bottle of rum
is good enough for this bum,
and a bit of a Douwesen fling!
