Hi all

Glad you liked him ,cheers.

Sorry for the delay but nearly finished, (bad habit, but got carried away putting the finishing touches on,and had to fit in some time for sleep), just the headband & collar to sort out.
Hard part is trying to judge where the skins going to stretch to.

Morgan, its the resolution,(1280x1024, as opposed to 1280x960 which the games original config limit was) thats what makes him look like he's a fat ass, they all do.

Oh well... must carry on..

ah, i see. dunno about the headscarf though. could grow to liking it, but now i'm not too sure.

I'm not too sure either. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_confused.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="icon_confused.gif" /> But what the heck? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" /> It has a vest what me can copy on the other skin and layer paint it. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

Looks nice. The head scarf is interesting. At least it's something we haven't seen before. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

Another attempt to make a buccaneer.

<img src="http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc220/Cylon13/Buccaneer0.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

I didn't like brown pants very much so I tried maroon theme and I also changed the shirt color and added/repainetd bandana. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

no brown bandana, pants dark, shirt only worn out white (like the sails of the ships) and then the bandana some browner

You mean that I should make pants dark maroon, shirt worn out white, and then the bandana a little more browner? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blink:" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

No, bandana maroon or some other bright colour, and the pants a dark colour (brown, black, darkmaroon, darkblue)

Allright! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/danse1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":dance" border="0" alt="danse1.gif" /> You mean like this? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blink:" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> :

<img src="http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc220/Cylon13/Buccaneer2.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

Should I call it "finished" then? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

I know ..the problem is I don't know how to add those portaits properly and because of this the new skin has other skins portait. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_confused.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="icon_confused.gif" />

got something to do with assigning an icon to a skin in some character file, i think. you'll have to add an entry for the new skin with a piece of code directing the program to the right folder and the right icon. but that's about as far as my knowledge goes.

That's not that much of a problem ..the true problem is with making pictures and adding these golden edges on the picture. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_confused.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="icon_confused.gif" />

well, for as far as i've seen, the golden edge is used in (almost) every picture, though sometimes of a different size. i think the edge should be stored somewhere as a seperate file. or maybe someone just cut it out of another icon. heck, you could do that with 'paint'. the actual face is just a matter of a screenshot and more scissor-work.
