when you enter a ship when from the deck

go to every ship around the port and enter the ship with you small boat

and ask the trader for the latest price list of the city where they come from

you can check the list and buy the profitable goods from a town to other.......

I just got 2,000,000 with in one month by just trading the sandil and gold

i check the price list and buy goods at lowest and sell the big price

example i got the gold at 325 per unit at saint jon's and sell to next city navis for 625 per unit....

When you get the "old sea dog perk" (you can avoid the sea encounters) it is even easier - you can make "trains" - buy 4 big ships - galeons, heave galeons, caravels or fluyts, sell the cannons, put the min crew, don't forget to buy for them some food and medicines and load them to the brim with goods. Afetr you decide to stop sell the ships back to the shipyard.
