hi mates, i have a treasure old map for some time, never tried to find it, but today i decided to go look for it, reading the map i end up looking for a cave near san juan, i found a cave, but is a cave with skeleton spawns, i tried to look for treasure with and without skeletons spawned, all chests had the same loot as any other cave chests, so i supose i am not in the right place, or i am doing something wrong...

anyway, another thing that gets my atention now that im looking for the treasure is i was never again offered to buy another treasure map, i wont be able to buy another treasure map until i find this one? if so, how can i make this one disapear without finding its treasure?
 
Yeah, you're not in the right place. When you enter a location where the treasure is to be found, you get the message to the effect that "the treasure is nearby" and the map will disappear from your inventory.
Skeletons will spawn when you open the treasure chest, though, so unassign your fighters or you'll lose them.
 
One of the chests in the cave mentioned on the map has the treasure.
If when entering the cave you receive the message that treasure is near - that is the right cave.
When you open treasure chest skelly will spawn.

You can only carry one treasure full map at a time ( or 2 partial treasure maps) - so you won't get offered others until you finish the curent one.

I also have a treasure map, but I'm new in this game and I don't know where do I need to search for this treasure. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

The map says:
On this map of, you can see a mark showing the treasure location in a cave, north from the Aztec temple, in a chest, on a big rock. But wether it is there or not, you'll never know unless you look. The map is rather old, and there is no need to doubt its authenticity.

I'm with Ian Stance the Dutch merchant and I got this map in Willemstad.

Please somebody help me!
 
sry mate, i've no idea where aztec temple is <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
 
Probably means Tenochtitlan, on the mainland, in the lower left corner of the map.
 
im in trouble, i cant find the damn treasure, i walked all the island, looked everywhere, cant find another cave beside the one i said before, and that one have no treasure, the only place i didnt tried is inside san juan...spanish dont like me much lolol

if someone have found a treasure in this island pls point the place, maybe its the same i need

San Juan del Norte is nowhere near San Juan. It's on the mainland, in the lower left of the map.

my map dont have small locations and i dont remember the names myself lol
 
Yeah, when you want to find a specific beach or cape or whatever you have to search through all the maps of specific islands until you find it. It's really annoying, especially since the in-game map mode has all the names but won't display them if you use the tab key to switch to the free map viewing mode. Well then what's the bloody point of even having that mode if you can't see anything in it? <i>Somebody</i> was thinking with their backside when they designed that... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
