The thread is about someone's large scale model of a WW2 German fishing trawler. The bit that's going to interest folks here is this paragraph:

As testament to their sturdy construction and seaworthiness, converted KFKs are still afloat today and used as private yachts, excursion boats, fishing vessels, and even floating restaurants. Some even received sailing rigs—and I love this part. Since 2009, the former KFK 634, now named Tres Hombres, sails as the only cargo sailing vessel regularly crossing the Atlantic under a schooner rig. Her engine has been completely removed, and she is equipped with solar panels and wind generators. Now, how cool is that?

Oh wow, that is a BRILLIANTLY unexpected link, @Grey Roger!
I didn't know that about Tres Hombres!

I did know about Tres Hombres herself (himself?).
I even attended school with some of their crewmembers and visited the ship in Amsterdam.
Some years ago, I paid good money to sail along for two weeks, but my psychiatrist cancelled that trip last-minute, losing me the money I paid them.
Thankfully this year another psychiatrist DID allow me my newest sailing trip, from which I just returned.

I've got quite a nicely varied rum collection here at home.
But the MOST variaties of rum I've got here is FairTransport rum.
Because let's be honest... does it get ANY cooler than actual Caribbean rum carried back to us here without using any engine power at all??
