Hey everyone.

So I decided to fire up this awesome game again for the first time in a while. I installed the new combine mod (which I did not use when I played the game previously), and started playing.

But it seems that my fighters are refusing to move after they fight someone. They will just stand there with their swords out, and I can't talk to them. They will move and start fighting again if I lure another enemy to them, but its the same story afterward.

Is this problem related to the fighter commands mod which is in CM?

Thanks!

Is this on land or durring ship boardings?

I noticed it early game, before I had a chance to fight any boarding battles. So I have only observed it happening on land.

It seems like they want to remain in attack mode after the enemy is dead. Very odd.

Interesting, did you install the mod over a previous mod or any files you may have edited?

I will still test just to make sure its not in the next patch,

Ugh. It's doing it again. But since the fresh install I've only seen it happen while sneaking through enemy towns. Fighting bandits in the countryside works fine.

CM is the only mod I'm using. I did tweak a few files after I installed it:

_mod_on_off
(Turned dev mode on)

AIShip
(Reduced minimum escape distance for sea fights)

bountyhunters
(Removed hunter encounters and set bribe to 0 (don't judge!))

RPGUtilite
(Changed corsair starting equipment)

seadogs
(Increased fast forward rate)

Day (In weather)
(Turned off fog and fogisland density. Reduced seafog density. (Does anyone else do this? It makes the landscape lovely))

I also fiddled with some models and music.

I can't imagine how any of this could be to blame. But that's all I changed.

Also, the fighter commands don't work at all for me. :S

I've run into the same problem with fighters just standing around after a fight, but only in isolated incidents. It always happens to me in a cave or dungeon where the skeletons spawn -- never during boarding battle or ransom mugger encounters in the jungles or bounty hunters in town. After the initial fight, my fighters just stand in the same spots where the fight ended with their swords unsheathed. Since I often go to caves or dungeons to get exp for my fighters, I'll usually lure a group or two over to my fighters and usually by the second group I bring over, my fighters have put their weapons away and begin following me normally again.
