What do you guys know about the interface files?

I am looking to gather as much information I can about how exactly the interface INI files work.

I have a basic understanding of them - enough to make significant modifications manually though mostly through trial and error.

Is there any documentation whatsoever available on it? Stuff like syntax and what exactly all the different item types are, what properties are valid for them and what those properties affect exactly.

I have been spending some free time in the last several days working on a program that would make modifying the interface extremely simple so I want to make sure I get everything right. I hope to unveil it soon and I can't wait because I think it will be really cool.

I think it would work for AoP as well since I think they use the same interface system?

So please if you have some knowledge on this dump it in this thread so I can compile all my rules correctly.

I'm sure someone from the POTC modding team can assist you,from what I understand the file structure is similiar (not identical though).

The only people who have done Interface work are people who are not active (except a couple)

I think Pirate_kk has done Interface work but he is on and off with modding

Screwface and Aconcagua have also done a bit of Interface work but not sure how much they know

I think trial and error is the way to go anyway
