I quite like it, the guitar music was a nice change and it's grown on me now.

Do you like it or prefer the stock standard music?

Run the extra content DVD and from the on screen menu look near the bottom, it's something like 'Install extra content'. Click that and when it's finished it says something along the lines of 'Now go n play Pirates! in a new way' (or something similar lol).

At first I thought it sounded a bit too modern and not in character with the sea shanty feel of the original music, but after a few hours I quite liked the variation.
 
I wonder if I can put any music in there... just change the name to what the original music file was? I have a version of "Drunken Sailor" with vocals I'd like to put in there <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I read somewhere the that this version also includes a flag mod and some sail mod. But I heard that the sail mod included some "hippie" looking sails.
 
True, but you can also create your own logo for your sails and flag. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />
 
The custom content on the DVD is total crap from my point of view. I had to reinstall the game because I was to stupid to get rid of it otherwise...

Funny thing: when i uninstalled the game the prompt asked : "Do you want to delete your save games?" I said "No", but they are gone... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

Can't say as I think much of the actual mods Firaxis made, but it does score some brownie points for showing me how to add me own custom content. Not that I've got any at the moment, aside from installing Fabs Flag pack.

On the whole tho, Give me a rousing verse or two of "A Pirate Was Meant To Be" or "There's A Monkey In My Pocket" anydays 'o the week.
