What Famous Pirate Do You Think You Resemble?

If you had to compare yourself with any famous Pirate Captain, who do you think you resemble the most in personality? If you were a pirate, of which famous pirate do you think your standards and policies would resemble the most?

Me, I think I resemble Bart. Roberts. He had a good set of Pirate Articles, and he was a more gentlemen pirate. Also, I like how he refused to become a alcoholic like most pirates. He was also one of the most succseful pirates as in terms of taking the most number of ships than any other pirate with 400.

I've always identified with Grace O'Malley, who was basically out to protect and provide for her clan. She did what she could outside the confines of English law, until they caught up with her, and then she worked to gain a way to feed and clothe and house her clan within the system... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
 
In this life i'd be a pretty poor pirate - but if i'd been around a few hundred years ago i would have tried to be a combination of Henry Morgan and one of the first colonist trying to fight for freedom from the crown(which was pretty oppresive if you were a regular jo).

So i would have used the system like Henry Morgan did, to further my families personal wealth and the wealth of the guys around me(although in Henry Morgans case he was definately out for himself above others!).

Maybe set up a colony somewhere hidden - make our own constitution and try to keep it a secret amongst the chosen few <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/pirate2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p:" border="0" alt="pirate2.gif" />
 
I would say that I most resemble Captain Jack Sp... just pulling your leg, mate! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

I'd have to say I identify most with Sir Henry Morgan, and to a lesser degree, Jack Rackham. In me day to day dealings, I straddle the line between what's allowable and what's not. Whatever I do tends to be on a grand scale, whether it's me personal life or professional. I never bother to try to blend into the crowd, and I tend to party too strongly. Me goals are large, and quite frankly, the game's not over until I've won. The ends can justify the means; it's all a matter of presentation, savvy? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
 
hmm...i would think i would resemble Jack Sparrow. i love to drink, i am a very funny guy, and for some reason, (hehehe) i look like Johnny Depp kinda. NO JOKE! girls LOVE me cuz i look like him kinda, so i am a wencher too!! argh. im only in high school, and already i look 30...j/k haha. but Jack is the man, and you would think we would be twins. (minus the beard and moustache, broken compass, worn hat...so on...in other words, i would be more like Johnny Depp's twin...) but yeah, Jack is the man.
 
Pick a real pirate in history, PartyPyrate, not a fictional one. The Blind Parrot is for serious discussion of history & such...
 
I be thinkin' I identify most with my good friend Mr. Rackham. sorry about that...musta had too much to drink to read the directions haha...well i would say i mostly resemble Jack Rackham. I LOVE the sight and feel of a woman, and i always make sure i get what i want. also, i have always been prone to wear VERY neat in style clothing, i love people to see me nice and neat. another reason, haha is because i just LOVE the nick of "Calico".... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="8)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />
 
I most likely would be Bartholomew Roberts. Roberts is my ideal Pirate comparison. Dressing lavishly,having a fearsome reputation of being a brave warrior in battle. He also died in a battle at sea, which is how i also hope to go. Yes, Bartholomew Roberts would be my ideal pirate.


Side Note: Captain_Python, i just noticed you pcked Roberts as well. I see our tastes coincide on many things.

Jack Sparrow doesn't exist....

I too identify with Calico Jack for all the aforementioned reasons. However, I wouldn't go down as easily. The rum makes me invincible not sleepy! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/pirate2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p:" border="0" alt="pirate2.gif" />
 
I think I would be a close resemblance to Captain Low who loved his wife(faithful wench was she) more than his quest for plunder.
