I voted Italian swashbuckler, but really I'm mostly a merchant-pirate with some scholarship pleasure: I like mostly sell and buy, my favd ship is the Spanish barco, and usually I like defend my ship from pirates giving them the right damage, and if I have the chance, gain their cargo and sell to the market. My other pleasure is go everywhere, discovering isles and new places.
This I did extensively when I had Sea Dogs, and this is my real pleasure in pirates game I'm someway peaceful, more interested to gain and explore that get honor or boarding ships one after the other.
Of course, as my mercantile stile, i like to be in friendly terms with the majority of European nations, especially the rich Holland and, of course, making also some good shady deal with pirates...better have friends also in the dark side of the Caribbean.
