F2 and esc not working in game

Hey all,

Ok this is gonna sound daft, but originally I stopped playing potc due to all the bugs, the main one being I was unable to use F2 or in fact any of the function buttons whilst in game. Out of the game they work fine.
Now after installing all the mods/adds the game runs nicely, but I cant use the function buttons still, and as an added bonus, the esc button does not work, meaning the only way to log out of the game is the good old ctrl+alt+del. Not to mention i cant see my char screen or the main menu.
Its kinda driving me nuts, so any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.

This is on the stock, unmodified game as well? That is pretty bizarre!
The function keys work perfectly fine for pretty much everyone else. :wacko:

It sometimes worked before the mods, ie I lvl up, I add skill points, I save, I try any of the function keys annnnnd nothing.
Cant seem to figure out why none of the F keys work in game, is there any way to remap all the f keys to anything else?

PROGRAM\CONTROLS\init_pc.c for Build 12 and earlier versions.
PROGRAM\CONTROLS\DefaultControls.c for Build 13 and later.
Change it, reset controls to default ingame and you should be all set.

Oh... weird things will happen if you do double assignments; try and avoid that.

Thanks for the replies, I have sorted the problem, did what I SHOULD have done first and that was..........replace the keyboard...oh the shame, feel free to flame
