    Time acceleration on laptops

    Hello ! I'm playing on a laptop computer which doesn't have a keypad. Thus when I wish to accelerate time I can only use th R button which speeds it to 2x. It's okay on land but can be annoying at sea. I've tried looking at the options but no possibility to change the key binding (+ and -)...

    the game wont start?

    Hi Guys ! I had the same problem on windows vista. I had tweaked the seadogs.c file to alter the timescale. When I saw it didn't accelerate me at sea I put the original file back and then the game wouldn't start. I solved this problem using all 3 files Philippe uploaded. Works fine now. Thanks...
