Favorite Sword?

I was just wondering what you guys' favorite sword(s) is/are?

For me, practically, it's pretty obvious with my namesake, but for looks, I like carrying the Badelaire. It looks really nice and shiny. I used to love the Squall, but when enemies start having Advanced Defense, it's underpowered.
 
It is indeed one of the many mod-added blades, yes.

You are able to modify all in-game controls to your liking. But it'd still be a keyboard, of course.
Still, if you like the game, the Build Mod does offer a WHOLE lot more fun to be had.
 
+1 to Sabre of Nicholas Sharp. Available very early on (provided you get yourself a decent reputation ASAP) and the best sword I've seen through the whole game. (Mind you, I haven't found the Windmill Slayer in Build 14, nor my old favourite from Build 13, the Atwood F100.)

On the subject of swords: most swords have varying level of quality, from "Broken" up to "Excellent", and degrade when they're hit. Some swords such as Francis Drake's have no quality. Do these degrade or disappear, or are they permanent?
 
The Attwood F100 was renamed, if I recall, and the same apparently applies to the Windmill Slayer. But I can't remember to what.

We decided to make them permanent, since them breaking would be unfair.
Instead, they end up being somewhat magical. :facepalm
 
I'm not very familiar with the weapons in the Build Mod, but in the stock game I prefer the Squall. It has high stats and is the most balanced sword in the stock game. With a high Melee Combat skill and the Professional Fencer ability I feel that the enemies' Advanced Defense is pretty much negated.
 
I prefer the Francis Drake sword because it does not wear out and adds plus one to your melee skill. I have has Bartholomeu's sword break on me. :rumgone

Bartolomeu's special sword also has no quality, right? Then that wouldn't break either.
They used to, but people didn't like it so I changed it. :wp
 
+1 To the Sabre of Nicholas Sharp. It's the most powered sword in the game, and i love it (Build Mod version). For the stock game, i loved very much my Squall (Asiatic Broadsword on Build Mod).

In other storylines, such as the Early Explorers, i Like very much the Corsair's Pride, even i prefer those than the Sabre of Nicholas Sharp, because i try to keep in my mind that that sowrd is "only" available in one period, just for being more realistic ;)
