    Pieter, I don't know if you know this, but the BOX model from CCC's buildingset is already exactly as you are describing. It is a person using the box model. You can talk to the box, and it has collision detection and can be pushed around like a person. Could anyone tell me how CCC did that?

    Aye, I realize now that the models of cannons have nothing to do with how they are fired. It is all up to the locators in the scene. So in order to replace cannon models, I would have to import each scene into Max and exchange them there.

    Thanks for that info mate! I had finally come to that very conclusion after experimentation by deleting all the cannon locators on a ship, buying that ship, stocking it, and finding that the ship wouldn't load any cannons... there weren't any cannons to load. *sigh*... I wonder why Akella...
