3-D model direct X capturing tool.

It captures 3-D Models and Textures in any Direct X environment.

This will allow you to pull out models, edit them, and place them in other games.

It works like fraps screen capture tool and only captures models rendered around your players position. The level of detail captured is based on how close the objects are to your position at screen capture. So, if you want a really detailed model ripped from a game you have to stand as close a possible to guarantee the full LOD that you want.

I was able to rip Will Turner from <i>Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End</i> with no problem whatsoever <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Um... Nothing, I guess <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> I don't know how to rig it and make it animatable.

But I can rip the <i>Flying Dutchman</i> from the game <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
 
the character models from that game aren't that good, from what i've seen. our jack sparrow is at least three times better close up.

This is gonna take a lot of work, but at least now I have some basic shape to conform to <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
 
i think those ropes will have to be removed. maybe one of them can stay, but the others are simply not complete enough. shame, really. is this something to take as an example or the actual model?
 
Can somebody try to put that model ingame? Just for testing purposes? To see if it can be done? I'd love to see an ingame screenshot. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wp" border="0" alt="whistling.gif" />
