A question on flags

Doober

Buccaneer
Storm Modder
I have been playtesting the Beta 2 and seem to have come across an interesting flag bug (or cheat depending on your point of view) I sailed up to a fleet of portugese ships, raised the jolly roger and boarded one and took it. The rest of the ships of course immediately became my enemy. I was then able to raise by personal colors which they saw and turned back neutral on me. I also noticed that if I went to my cabin and back to sea, enemy ships would also turn neutral on me. Has anyone else experienced this? If I commit an act of piracy, shouldn't the nation immediately become hostile to me?

available in the Stock game! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

I noticed that too.

Previously, the option of changing flags worked so when initially ships of one nation were hostile to the player they remind hostile even after changing to flag of nation friendly to them. I don't know what causes that bug. My version is modified by me so I thought that I changed something incorrectly, but that proves that the root of the problem lies somewhere else...

I've also noticed that occationally ships will go neutral for no apparent reason. I was fighting a pirate ship and captured it, when I returned to the sea, another pirate ship that was with it, just went neutral for no reason. I had to manually fire on it to turn it enemy again. I don't know if that helps anyone track down the problem or maybe this is a different bug. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />
