A solution to all INTEL GRAPHIC CARD USERS!

Alright, guys, here's a solution to all your problems from a Intel graphic card user, myself.

I myself use Intel 82865G Graphic Controller.

I bought the game today and also experienced constant crashes. My game wouldn't last for 3 minutes. It crashed back to desktop and said something about ndtll. files.

Just about to give up, I turned all my graphic options up, and found that the game ran perfectly afterward. I did some testing, and found if you turn the world details and objects details all the way up, the game will stop crashing. It works for me, hopefully it will work for you too.

Good luck. Let me know if it works. Thanks.

not tested it for long but it seems to work for me - in fifteen minutes i've already got a lot further than i managed before.

God bless you! It worked!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Quick question,

My game crashes to the desktop before I even get a chance to play with the options. How can i change the setting without opening the game? I know I can edit the config.ini file but I don't know what the highest number is for the object and world detail levels (is it `0-9`)? They are currently all set at 2 I believe. Also, are all of you running it at the same resolution or should that not matter. Hopefully you're all not busy having too much fun with the game to reply! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blah:" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> Thanks in advance.

Boosting the video options up worked great for me ! Thanks

Does this work for those of you running on a Intel 82852/55 Graphics Controller?

I've tried turning all graphics up in the game and it still crashes constantly. Or are you turning the graphics up somewhere else?

Whatever I do I can't seem to get it to work. I just can't beleive it. I've waited for this game since I abandoned my c64 (14 years?), and when it finally arrives I seem to have to buy a new computer. I haven't had this one a year yet. I cant afford it. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":c" border="0" alt="mad.gif" />

also running into the same issue with my 700m laptop that has an Intel Extreme 2 graphics card. frustrating.

Well, turning graphics up only means turning the WORLD and the MATERIAL graphics up. Other stuff like lighting and shadow don't matter. I still don't know why it worked, but you might try combining different levels of WORLD AND MATERIAL graphics to see how it works out.

Again, never give up, you know. A minute before I discover this trick I was about to return it back to the store. Now the game never crashed on me ever since that day.

I tried this 'fix' on the laptop and it works like a charm. swordfighting is way slow, but otherwise, gamplay is not that bad.

I tried this and it works like a charm for the crash issue... i still have graphics that are improperly rendered(some governors and myself appear without the clothing texture, there is a screenshot showing the issue at [http://forum.piratesahoy.net/`ftopic3343-0`.php] and the sword fighting and sneaking into a city are extremely slow.... if anyone knows of fixes for these problems please post them here[/url]

Intel chipset

Yes if someone finds a fix to the rendering issues please post!

Max. Object Detail: 2
Max. World Detail: 5

Sneaking is slow in this game because you are sneaking. Call it a feature.
