A wee bit of a lag? *edit: Now i have crashes too*

Ever since i installed the build 12, there are a few issues. Firstly, whenever i sell stuff from my ship, it will hang for bit, depending on the amount i'm selling. And when i go to the shipyard, the prog stalls on the screen where all the ships are displayed. This is not really an issue, but it can get annoying after a while.

Second issue is, ever since i've gotten my hands on a Manowar MM, French design, sometimes when i'm in sea battles, the crew bar doesn't show. It's displays as if the crew is totally empty, and i usually check how much crew i have left using F2 - ship status.

Once again, these is not really important issues, but i just wanted to point them out <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Btw, i'm running an Athlon XP 2100+ with 512mb RAM with Geforce 4 MX440.

*edit* Okaay, now this is getting annoying. The game crashes everytime i press ESC after changing one of the members on "Passengers". This has happened 4 times now. And one time it was when i was assigning the officers on a beautiful manowar i just captured, and now i don't have it... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

This crash is unfortunately something that happens from time to time in the game, not sure why, and there have been attempts to fix it... Try reinitializing (press "I") and then press "T". There are a couple of internal things that clear up when you do that, so hopefully that should help.

The lags you are getting in the store and the shipyard are due to calculations that need to be done to support the economic engine. They are unfortunately necessary.

That crew bar is something that we also are aware of, but I am not sure whether NathanKell can do anything about it - he tweaked something in the ship init for this build and it started happening. As you say, it's a minor annoyance. I think he's going to look at trying to fix it when he can find some time.

The crashes hasn't happened for some time now, but i'm saving more often now anyway.

Heh, yes, saving often is a very good idea! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" /> I can't tell you how EARLY I figured that out - of course, I think I probably restarted the game about ten times (stock, not modded) when I first bought it... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> The UNmodded game is VERY buggy... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blah:" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

I'm very grateful for the mods for at least fixing THAT part of the game.
