About fort control.

I captured before 4 months a fort(game time), i get my money when i can, but after all this time the city is EMPTY. My fort is empty, all is empty and the only man there is my governor...which i very strange. How to bring the ppl in the city and how can i control more aspects of it ?

Slaves perhaps??? not sure though, because I haven't done it yet <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> But, just a guess. Try pressing Enter, and see what your options are for slaves.

My town was empty also after I captured it. I think you have to sail in and out of your town for people to show up.

For me, I had been teleporting (using debug, eg. Beliz_town,reload,reload1) from town to town instead of actually sailing.
Every time I teleported back to my own town, it was deserted until I tried setting sail from my town, going to map, then moor-ing back at the town.

So if you have been cheating like me, you can try my solution, see if it works for you.
If you haven't been cheating, then I have no idea whats wrong.

My problem was La Vega....but after i gave it to the Spanish it got populated...With my other town(Fort de France) i didn't had this problem. For La Vega i just think u cant keep it for yourself, as i suggested in the walkthrough, i even lost one of my officers thanks to this strange thing <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
