I'm too much of a lazy bastard to translate it at the moment and I'm not sure if I ever will have time to do it, so is there any way to put this through this babelfish or whatever you use? Not that it helps much to understand what the article says...Well, one thing is for sure -- it's been confirmed that SD2 WILL be published outside of Russia (no word about the publisher, though) and there WILL be multiplayer included. It's now official. They said the foreign release will occur some time after the release in Russia, and that is scheduled for this autumn. I personally will be very surprised if they keep their word about the date, I don't believe it's gonna be out any time sooner than spring 2005, may be even summer. From the game description it seems that things will work very differently in the archipelago than what you know from POTC, the npc officers will play much more important role and often act on their own, the new system of rumours and gossip will be introduced and there also will be a bit of colony management. You can appoint your officers as governers in captured colonies and built fortresses there. The superpowers will try to take those colonies back from you, when you're not around.

From talking to the Akella gents at E3, they made it plain that they've been working all along towards releasing it to the rest of the world - and that they were very close to finished at that time (couple of months ago now). It was only legalities that made this a difficult and `time-consuming` process.

Steve, I think you are going to like the outcome...

With Bethesda and Disney NOT in control of this release, you are getting everything you wanted and then some. Dmitry assured us a E3 that it is going to be packed and full of lots of adventures.

You might consider playing with real people in MP mode, on the other hand.
It will support up to 8 players and have at least 3 modes (Deathmatch, Team deathmatch and Capture the fort).
Also, your artillery will suffer during the battle, guns could be damaged and destroyed now, reducing ship's firepower. And you won't be able to sail the same ship forever, it will age as time goes by.

And I like Beatrice (the pirate lass)... She looks pretty cool to me... After a slightly disapointing start to the reviews of Fable, CorsairsII(Seadogs2) is now the only game i'm looking forward to getting this year!

well thats ok with me - so many companies just shovel stuff out the door to fulfill a producers deadline, even if not finished.

So its a sure thing that Seadogs 2 will be released in the US? Im just making sure. there were rumors that the new games "Captain blood, and Swashbuckler" would be taking the place of seadogs 2 as the continuation of POTC. Please Someone confirm that the rumor is not true and Sea dogs 2 will be released in the US!.
