Advice on pirates ship settings

Just playing around with internal settings for my own amusement, and I'm thinking about trying setting this to 1, and have pirates sometimes use trade ships:

#define PIRATES_USE_BOTH_TYPES 0 // BOOL - do pirates use ships of both war and trade type? If 0, only use type 'war'.

Will I mess up anything by doing so? Are pirate encounters defined such that they can properly make use of trade ship types?

Just playing around with things, and curious if I would unwittingly break something or mess anything up. ;)
 
I see no reason why that should not work.
Try it.

Search also for where that #define is used in the code, since I'm not sure if that does actually still work.
