After doing the Tenochtitlan quest

What is the point of this quest!?! To get a shotgun? I just don't get it because you loos all your Totems, but you get another totem to open the Temple of White Gods, and get the shotgun. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
Can i get get my totems back some how?

Don't if i can. It will take lots of hours to finde out.
I triede to see if the totems did respawn. apparaently not!
