and again the french tailor

well - i finally think the french tailor dont like me.
after the last problems i thought to deinstall all and install only build 11 and JMVs big `military-mod`.
till now it all works fine and the tailor was there from the first time. now my charakter is in french services and lieutenant. but i still cant buy any french uniforms.....
did i miss anything? something like "there is now `lieutenant-uniform` to buy" or "u cant buy uniforms when the mainquest isnt finished" (because im now before attacking greenford)?

So you talk to the French tailor just fine now - but no French uniforms?

Have you bought ANY French uniforms at all? Something I've noticed - if you buy a new set of clothes for either yourself or an officer, you cannot buy another one of the same - which I guess is to keep you from having three officers who look exactly the same, I suppose...

well i bought some clothes there - but no uniforms....

the strange thing is, that its only the french tailor where i cant buy the new uniforms (the old can be bought)

If you ask the tailor to `bag it up` rather than wearing it straight away the outfit goes into a kind of party wardrobe and anyone can select and wear it through the officer dialogue. Just ask my Danielle triplets <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_eek.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="icon_eek.gif" />
I wish the quest officers such as Rys and Lucas had a clothes change dialogue though. And a Board/Don`t Board dialogue while I think of it.

Haven't had much time for it, tho. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

HOWEVER, it is easily implemented if you edit the dialog of these people - take a look at the dialog I created for Fred Bob (OR Danielle, with my new fix, if you have it) - he is a `quest-hired` officer but he also has the `tavern-hired` officer dialog. I tried to make it so that it would be easy to just cut and paste to implement it for another `quest-hired` officer, but there are a lot of variables that come into play that might need to be changed - so it's a tricky project... AND as I mentioned, I haven't had the time to do it thus far...

Note if you try to do this with my changes - FB and Danielle both have `character-specific` dialogs inside the hired officer dialog that would need to be made "generic" for this switch (or you'll have officers who all sound like Fred Bob, or are a bit too friendly with Nathaniel, LOL!) <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

You may want to try copying direct from enc_officer_dialog.c; it has the new organizational structure that should be easier to copy.

Regarding the French tailor--hmm. Do you have JMV's French uniforms installed? If not, there won't be much to buy.

maybe i found the mistake:

i looked in the initmodels.c and searched for the name of french models shown in jmvs ressources folder....
they weren´t there....

ill try if they are there after i add them

edit: yes... that was the problem.... now its works fine <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

Good spotting! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":keith" border="0" alt="keith.gif" /> I'm sure JMV will appreciate the head's up... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
