Any word on weapons?

Sorry if this has been covered, searching is pulling anything up.. What kind of weapons will you be able to use? Or do you only get a generic cutlass? And how about firearms, I see the picture of the main character swinging from the rope has a pistol in hand. Any variation on types etc? Or just a generic pistol as well?
