Anyone been good enough to complete everything?

In my last game I noticed the wierd romance thing too.

I'd rescued 8 Gov daughters (to get 3 lost cities) and had the ninth still with Mendosa. Married a beautiful daughter I'd rescued previously then went and rescued the ninth daughter from Mendosa.

Had 11 romance points. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

I just finished my last game and did all quests (highest difficulty - dunno the english name for it). I was forced to retire with 53 (had medicine skill) as a governor with a nice 530000 gold. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

numpty01: If you have completed almost everything, you should have close to 126 points. Of course, "everything" in this case means that you also acquire the rank of a duke from all 4 nations.

really

okay well that explains it then I am only duke in two nations, count in one and an admiral in another, but still have only one more family member to rescue.

Cheers

Experimented with this in my previous game. I kept the guy going until he was 70 years old (never divided plunder) Rescued EVERY daughter in the Carribean. As I took cities and installed new govs, I romanced the new daughters too. At one time I had 10 rescued daughters on my boat and seven more to pick up. Got 10/10 in romance.<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":c" border="0" alt="mad.gif" /> Maybe because I married before doing most of this, maybe because I didn't exploit the multiple Mendoza bug. (well, I did get 2 mendoza's from Port Royal, by accident, but she was plain and I had already married a beautiful)

One thing I noticed. Although people have reported their pirate gets slower and slower with age, I didn't notice any decline after about age 49, perhaps even earlier. I think once he is in failing health, that's as bad as it gets (at least on lowest level which is what I was playing, and stuck on, due to not dividing plunder)

Oh, and my 70 year old pirate got 24/24 in Wealth just on land holdings alone (something like 40,000 arcres) but never got any "bonus" wealth points for more than 1,000,000 gold.

IMHO, there are two ways to get scores over 126 - exploit a bug in Pirates! code, or use Photoshop.

Black Dog:

I had a Mendoza mission and married a beautiful daughter (different one obviously). When I rescued the daughter from the Mendoza mission (and took her home) that's when the 11 came up.

Well i retire after 27 years sailing but i still cant be the `1-st` in top 10 pirates whyyyyyyyy <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":keith" border="0" alt="keith.gif" />
And where i can see this points where is my score <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" />

@ini: You can see your score at all times in the lower left corner of the screen when you are sailing. It is the `so-called` "Fame" of your pirate.

If you are not no1 pirate after 27 years, perhaps you haven't really been pirating? You should be sacking cities and capturing ships more than any of the other pirates (or at least get rid of the competition).

You don't even need to sack cities...The easiest way to become #1 pirate is to get rid of the other 9. I usually try to do this fairly early in the game because it is good for promotions from all of the countries.
