Hi,

I added the Brig from AOP to my game and for the past few days I have been editing a walkfile for it, anyway I have finished it and it looks good. I have also fixed the ropes and raised the deck camera as it looked like a midget was the captain. I will post the file as soon as I can so other people can try it out.

You can add walk files? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/8q.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":8q" border="0" alt="8q.gif" /> ..If so then could you make walk files also for current Flying Dutchman, Indiaman, Amsterdam, Schooner (because build mod overwritement for stock potc schooners masts screwed its walk file) and a couple of other ships with some messed walk files. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wp" border="0" alt="whistling.gif" />

I think I will do some work an the other AOP ships but it may take some time as the walk file was very time consuming to do. Hi Cylon, Yes I could do the walkfiles for those ships, did they have their own walkfile or was they just using an existing one? If they dont have one I will have to edit one for them which may take some time as I like to be accurate <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />. Were can I get the files for the dutchman, also the Indiaman works okay in my game (build 13 final) was the walk file overwritten?

Check out the <a href="http://pafiles.com/potc/FilmShips.zip" target="_blank">FilmShips</a> mod. The Dutchman is in there.
 
Just noticed that the texture was wrong on the bowspirit, the file has been updated with the fix <a href="http://seanorris.googlepages.com/AOPBrig.zip" target="_blank">http://seanorris.googlepages.com/AOPBrig.zip</a> The ships.init entry is in the download as well as the shipwalk entry and a few others needed. Any problems let me know.

Cool! ..well im not sure WITCH ship's walk file must be corrected or added but im sure of that Flying Dutchman's walkfile needs to be added, Schooner ship types walk files need to be corrected and same thing with Amsterdam. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

And my sig name is not Cyclon its Cylon13. Drat. yer bringing me memories of old Starsiege Tribes multiplayer shooting game where some people were so DUMB that they did not know what the HELL is Battlestar Galactica and called me Cyclone ..and when i corrected them then they said that "meh.. what's the differance between Cylon and Cyclone?" ..CURSED this world is, i tell you that Cylon is a robot race from BSG (Battlestar Galactica, and im talking about the new series of it not old) and Cyclone is a weather disaster what comes with storms and rain and all that crap till your house is up-side down ..HAH! that's the differance VERY BIG DIFFERANCE. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/boom.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":boom" border="0" alt="boom.gif" />
 
Just curious as I just worked on a schooner and I didn't notice any problem.

What part of the walk was messed up and in what build version?
 
If there indeed IS a problem introduced with the schooner's walk files, we can just take the original files from the stock game and be done with it. The Amsterdam does need her walk file fixed. There's crew walking in the air. Actually this would probably be an easy one to fix. The only thing that needs to be done is to move the stern walk points down a bit to put the crew back on deck. Would the Flying Dutchman look good with ordinary crewmembers walking around? After all: Skeletons are not possible. I think for the Dutchman having no walk file would actually be right. However, all OTHER AoP ships would greatly benefit from having an appropriate walk file.
 
Schooners deck walk file is ok expect that new sail plan and masts for stock schooner messed stock game schooners ..let's say climbing walk file ..i mean that the last and tallest mast on schooners backside, THERE'S the problem, sailors seem to be climbing in that rope ladder to invisible platform (or something) and then standing there on nothing. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wacko:" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" />
 
I am working on the Dutchman's walk file now it may take a while <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Also Cylon sorry about calling you a cyclon <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> and Pieter don't worry the Amsterdam will get done after the Dutchman <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

What about my point of having an ordinary crew on the Dutchman? Wouldn't that look odd? Would it be better to have a deck devoid of people to give more of an impression of a ghost ship? Just a random thought. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />
 
i think it'd look ok...not perfect, but not terrible. maybe if we could retexture the crew, it'd be better. make them look all.....seaweedy and stuff <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/jackhat.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":j2" border="0" alt="jackhat.gif" />
 
But I was under impression that it would apply to every low-poly sailor in the scene, including those on other ships?
