For a game that is due out before the end of the year we seem to know very little indeed. Yet Age of Pirates is not to be overlooked and although I believe the game is likely to slip to 2006, it's good to take a closer look.

Personally, I'd like to see more 17th century ships and less of those modern beasts, but I guess some of them are necessary in order to have a decent number of ship types around...
 
I just hate squared rigged vessles with only two sails on each mast its just fricken ugly :p

Oh yes I have some possibly bad news. With akella now owning POTBS as Corsairs online they might abandon AOP (IM NOT SAYING THEY ARE) Im just saying they might :p I have a bad feeling about this :p
 
Their rep on the Russian forum has been insistent that AoP is practically finished, but he's refused to say anything else than that it will be out "this autumn".

Which makes me a bit suspicious as well... But still hopeful...
 
It better be released :p. Mainly because I want to get some people together to make a nelson era modpack <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
 
Nelson era mod-pack would be wonderful. This would bring a real alternative to AOS and PB, which we still play in our gameing community. It's just bad we have no one with good 3d-Art skill to help you...

Mostly i fear for the MP-mode of AOP, after Akella announce their engagement in PotbS....
