Armour Reworking

I have for quite a while puzzled over the armour and the fact that on some models you could see a graphical glitch (when standing in a doorway with turning re-enabled) where a characters waistcoat was. I also feel sometimes armour makes the character lose its scence of character. so I have decided to work on Fudge Dragons Inconspicuous armour of waistcoated characters.

I would show you an example but I have a problem. having finished blaz1 (Original stock Pchar model with basic armour) and banging it back into txconverter I got a big screen full of options. what the heck do I choose.

EDIT: Heres the tga for your enjoyment

That's a pretty neat idea. Only problem: Once you get it done, should I use your version or the one currently in the modpack? I hate having to choose one of two good mods. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" />

In the big screen of options, don't touch anything but the confirm/convert/OK button thingey. You only need these options if you want to decrease the filesize or if the model uses an alpha map (transparency).

Thanks for the help

I planed on it being a stand alone download, or a trigger (only problem, it would double the size of initmodels.c) so that people can make there own choices
I got it in game and noticed I needed to look at the collar (im a bit of a perfectionist (not good in modding))
It looks like he has cut a chunk out of the armour to let his open collar poke out (vain man) as I could not rework the shape (thing with rivets on it wasn't fine anought to allow me to stick bits together to get it round the offending collar. anyway here are 2 screenies from ineze's tool

<img src="http://img144.imageshack.us/img144/8090/2326093be1.jpg" border="0" alt="IPB Image" />

And one from ingame

If people like it I will do the same for the other armour types and all the characters with waistcoats, (even the skins by other authors (if i can get permission from them))

You know, If I get the hang of this image editing stuff I may even add armour to the models that dont have it (cringe, theres a hell of a lot of models)

That's great! Adding armor to models that don't have armor yet would be great as well. You of course don't have to add it to ALL of them. I'd recommend you just add armor to the models you like best and/or the models that are most likely to be used by the player and his officers.

Right finished getting the other blaze armours up together I put it on a folder on the FTP called Fudge Dragon's Files, if you wanna try it out just extract the zip into your resource/textures/characters folder. the costs of the higher level armours and the fact I don't have any saves at the moment (I'm mostly playing other things) i have been unable to get screens of these skins in action (my luck with Inez's tool is rather random)

Or you can bang the following address in your browser address bar to download (couldn't get the URL tags to work)
you still need the FTP details

for those who don't know it's a user of;
<b>potc@piratesahoy.org</b>
and a password of;
<b>piratesahoy
</b>
ftp.piratesahoy.org/Fudge Dragon's Files/FD Armour Reworked.zip

I have to say the better 2 armours are not as high resolution so they do not look half as good. thing is im useless at creating new content in photoshop at the minute so i was unable to create better versions (its not that bad, just a bit pixalated when you zoom in, but like I said above <!--QuoteBegin-"myself"+--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE("myself")</div><div class='quotemain'><!--QuoteEBegin-->im a bit of a perfectionist<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
