Got stuck after defeted 5 killers. I have mesage in my log about pearl divers vilage. Is that the same village from Dutcmen quest? If it is, nobody talk about Austin. Please help!
 
Me too... I have killed 2 of the Captain killers at Fort-de-France and Santa Catalina. Now I´m at Panama and I found a man called "Juan Carlos" (or was he "Jose Carlos"?) that talked about nobility and about the cult of Sulla.... after running through the town gates he talled about this Austin and about not scaring the other Captain Killers... still no entry in my QuestBook... What I must do?
-Run for him? In the Panama exit to the jungle he has disappeared... tried to go to one of the caves in the Portobello-Panamá jungle but none of them appears this man again...
-Must I look again in Panama for more Captain Killers?

no, dont run for him. go for st john, cartagena and marigo. U will have a little diferent dialogue options so be carefull , dont scare them off. After that u 'll get a log masage.

And if you ignore any of the invitations you'll ruin the quest forever. Which I did about a zillion game days ago, not knowing this nonsense was part of a quest. God DAMMIT, the guy who wrote these better hope I never get my hands on him.
 
Well I did go down there, but couldn't beat the guys, so I just reloaded and ignored him. The writing and scripting in this game is really idiotic. This has to be one of the worst balanced games I have played in a long time, particularly in light of the fact that it does make use of all the crutches that developers usually use to balance their games, like scaling to player level, only in totally inappropriate places. I mean, what the hell? Don't give players quests they're not ready for, or scale them so that they can beat them, <i>or</i> make them time unlimited so that players can go back when they're stronger! It's not like I did anything wrong, the damn guy approached me all on his own.
This is really retarded beyond belief.
So tell me, what exactly is this quest about? I don't feel like starting over <i>again</i> if it's just some tiny sidequest, so spoilers are the lesser of the two evils here.

I'm sorry, but u'll lose quest only if u dont make it until midnight, and they make a note about that. Read carefully what they say.

towns: Fort de France, Marigo St. John's, Santa Catalina, Panama, Cartagena

3th guy give some clues and u DON'T fight with him
after u defeat all of them, u get a mesage about pearl divers settlement. its the one on the "...del norte Shore" or something on the West coast. Go through cave turn left, then enter the cave, fight sceletons and exit on the other side.
there is a guy who welcome u to the settlement (i had a spanish patent, and english flag). In one of the houses u'll meet Austin.

Important> U need good fencing skills, and save after conversation because u MUST make it before midnight, and sometimes is hard to find dungeon entrance.

Austin seys something about how u'r the same and only diference is that he is land robber and u do the same on open sea. U'll then prove him wrong and cut his guts and take his blood money.

Yes they do say that, but that doesn't make it clear that I'm losing the quest because it's not even noted as a quest in the log in the first place! It looks and plays like just some kind of lame generated random encounter. Which is really unfair, since if you give players a journal, then they're naturally going to assume that anything important will be noted in it. With no journal entry and no decent loot, well gosh, why <i>would</i> I follow another guy I know is going to try and kill me into a dark dungeon? I realize it's a Russian game but that excuse only goes so far, this is plain and simple poor game design. First I got screwed over by doing stuff, now by not doing stuff. Well screw <i>that</i>. I'm done with this game until somebody writes a complete walkthrough. It'll spoil the hell out of the game but I'd rather have that than the frustration of finding out that I'd been screwed over by the developers again.
 
I know....old post, but....

I new to this Game and now i have to meet the Guy in Saint Johns Catacombs, but if i enter, i cannot find anything.
