Aztec Gold Coin

Zaul

Landlubber
In PotC/Seadogs 2 I bought a Gold Aztec Coin ( just like the one from the movie ) is there any point to this apart from -1ing my luck ?
Does it mean I can be a skellington cause of the curse? Or does it mean the black pearl will hunt me down?
Just curious

bit of a rip off buying really...

better te leave it in the chest if ye find wun, else you might trip over a pile o cannon balls n fall overboard or something else just as unlucky.

<!--`QuoteBegin-Rico`+--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Rico)</div><div class='quotemain'><!--QuoteEBegin-->no, they don't. But if you want them to have an advantage, then modify their stats in "PROGRAMS/ITEMS/initItems.c" if you want to! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />[/quote] u should find the gold goin there if u find it can u tell me as i have looked but can not see it cheers

Look for:

//CURSED COINS GreatZen
makeref(itm,Items[n]);
itm.id = "CursedCon";
itm.name = "itmname_cursedcoin";
itm.describe = "itmdescr_cursedcoin";
itm.model = "";
itm.picIndex = 15;
itm.picTexture = "ITEMS_4";
itm.skill.sneak = -1; // GreatZen
// NK -->
itm.skiptrade = false;
itm.skiprand = false;
itm.skipequip = true;
// NK <--
// itm.shown = false;
itm.price = 250;
itm.minlevel = 0;
itm.rare = 0.1;
n++;

Regarding the gold coin and its affect on your luck, I have always liked when, during smuggling raids, the Coast Guard shows up, becuase usually they are no trouble to defeat, and more often than not I will get three frigates that I can sell off with no repercussions to my reputation. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dev.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":d:" border="0" alt="dev.gif" />

To make it more likely that I'll get the coast guard to make an appearance, I will take the ten cursed gold coins, that I usually keep on my ship, and carry them with my character whenever I go on a smuggling run. I figure the "0" luck he cursed coins cause will make the coast guard more likely to show up
<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/guns.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":2guns" border="0" alt="guns.gif" /> then I blast them! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/guns.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":2guns" border="0" alt="guns.gif" />

A cunning ruse there, Sir Christopher <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" /> However I find with Build 11 that Items don`t seem to `stack` that way. I`ve tried slipping several of these coins into the pockets of my Officers who I thought were too lucky <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" /> - but only one appears to take effect.

It's worse than that Taurondin, I even fooled myself! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/oops3.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":eek:ops2" border="0" alt="oops3.gif" />

<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" /> I don't know how I convinced myself that that worked, someone must have watered down my rum! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_eek.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock:" border="0" alt="icon_eek.gif" />

Well, maybe because you somehow knew the feature was there? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
{It is, BTW; just add in the skill.XXX block the line itm.skill.stack = n; where n is the number you want to stack together. Then reinit, a'course, and it should be set to go}

Yarr, dat be a stroke o' genius thar, Sir Chris, an' yer strategy be deservin' o' an apt name fer dis noble exploit! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

Sir Christopher`s Coin Caper?

Thanks for the tip NK, I`m off to try it. Thought it was in, but disabled somewhere. My over lucky First Mate is in for a run of bad luck...

Considering the stacking of `magic` items, i already heard one
could easily set the maximum skill level above 10, but does this
actually make any sense to have, let`s say melee 15 ?

I suppose the calculations are done on a 10max basis, aren`t they ?
