I'm not quite sure if they've been implented in this Alpha or earlier, but I just thought I should share my thoughts here :p
First of all I was really surprised to have a chat with really "important" characters, such as becket&norrington, thats awesome! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

I've not accepted that trade-quest-thingie, so if I missed something big here, feel free to tell me! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Just some ideas though:
Although I really love the apperiance of such characters, I find it somewhat strange that one _Lord_ Cutler Beckett steps a foot into a small stinking tavern by himself, instead of sending some kind of servant or something.

The idea is to make him(or generally every "known" character that might be added to the game in future =P) a little harder to reach - or - in Becketts case, at least make some other NPC tell you that the Lord anticipated your arrival and wants to see you personally.

That's my first suggestion here on the forums :p if such ideas arent helpful, please tell me, i'm trying to get myself a little into the game, its updates, the bugs, etc, to offer some "useful" help in future <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="8)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />

The addition of Cutler Beckett and Norrington was very recently added to the Alpha 7 Plus version. It is part of an attempt to add more movie tie-ins in the game so as to actually make it WORTHY of the title "Pirates of the Caribbean". If you accept Beckett's EITC quest, you will have a sort-of second main quest during the original main quest, adding a little more interest and intrigue into the game. It comes recommended to accept that quest. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

Currently we are also working on adding the Curse of the Black Pearl quest into the game. This quest will take place once the original main quest is complete. It is being made by Short Jack Gold (first half) and Bartolomeu o Portugues (second half). The second half is completed and uploaded on the FTP. Short Jack Gold is now working on finishing the first half, attaching it to the main quest and to the second half. See <a href="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=10067" target="_blank">here</a> for more information on the main quest rewrite and see <a href="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=11020" target="_blank">here</a> for information on the film quests being developed.

Since both are still in development stage, feel free to post your comments on suggestions in those two threads and I am sure the quest developers will see if they can make some amends to make the quest more realistic, fun and interesting. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

Intriguing indeed!

... on the other hand, provoking this exact apprehension as you are describing it, is intentional ... as I too found out playing it.

If you want to look into intriguing things... they might just be worth your while. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

I don't believe you have played this part of the quest - all is not what it seems - or is it?
It is an intentional "hook" for the player to accept or not. But it has consequences <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

You've got something to be looking forward to then. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />
