Better forts, uniforms and an extra deck

I mean really. The forts currently in game suck. What sort of architect would design a 17th century Fortress with high walls like that, do they not fear direct fire from ships? Where's the ditch, the scarp and counterscarp? Where's the revetments and glacis slope. The walls of a 17th century fort were sloping, low, and thick, with great bastions jutting outwards to mount cannons upon. So it would be a pretty cool if you guys could redesign the forts to be more realistic and historically accurate.

You see, this is how Vauban, the leading siege engineer of the time period would design a fort. Use this as a blueprint for new in game forts.

It'd also be awesome if you could make it so that when you get a Letter of Marque from a nation, the little sailor animations on your ship are reskinned to look like their wearing the uniform of your country.

Finally, it'd be pretty cool if there was an extra deck. An officer's mess. Where you could go and converse with your passengers. First Mate, Boatswain, Navigator, etc.
 
The forts really looks not good. There were even one modder who wanted to change standard forts to look like those from real Caribbean - unfortunately, he never managed to finish his work and we don't hear from him for a very long time. It's not a surprise, as that's a huge workload. BTW, what happened with Capitan Caceres?

I don't know how to change those tiny people on ship during sailing. However, if you're using Buil 13 WIP (which is bugged) you can set BOARDERMODEL to "soldier" and your boardingparty will use soldier uniforms of nation whose flag you're using during boarding.

You can meet your officers on various decks (for example, first mate in captain's cabin). For explanation why there's no more decks or cabins, please refer to the first paragraph of this post.

Extra weapons would be nice as well. Perhaps hatchets or axes, you just have to make it so that the only attack you use when you have a hatchet is a chop or slash. Maybe a pike? But then you'd have to make a new anim, so that might be too much work.

Which Build version are you using? In Build 13 Beta, there is a crew's quarters and you can talk to your officers. But only to the three you have in your officer slots. I would still like to see that changed so that ALL passengers walk around your ship.

Get the Build 13 Beta. There are hatches and axes in there. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />
 
If you've got Post Build 12, get Build 13 Beta instead from my site. It adds more features and works more stable.

The boardermodel code is in PROGRAM\BuildSettings.h (open the file with Notepad).
