Hi All

I have downloaded the blacksmith mod and when in the game `re-initialised`, not sure if i was supposed to, anyways, when i talk to people there is dialog about the blacksmiths like the blade isn't sharp or he is in the place with the door facing the wall etc but none of them are "open" or unlocked for entry...

what do i do?? I haven't been able to get into ANY blacksmith at all.
 
Just download build 12.1 and all is fine <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
 
I downloaded the full version as packaged lately and i am not sure which build it is, 12 or 12.1.

If it is 12 where do i find 12.1?

When you get it working, try the smith at False de fluer, gave me a great deal on my sword, better than the guy at Redmond <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bounce.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":b:" border="0" alt="bounce.gif" />
 
Yep, they charge differently, and some can't make the sword perfect or won't make it average.

I'll update it sooner or later, and hopefully that'll smooth out my pleothora of bugs.
 
I tried to apply the fix, assuming it was "possible Build 12 fix.zip". It did not work. The dialogs are still given but no doors are unlocked.

Am i doing something wrong?

I think you have to start a new game.
 
Oh hell... well when i am done with this one i shall start a new game... i haen't completed one game yet and i am in the temple now.

I don't think "possible Build 12 fix.zip" has got anything to do with the blacksmiths. The only way to get the blacksmiths to work properly (apart from bugs: there shouldn't be any, but possibly there are) is to install my modpack (either the one from the FTP or <a href="http://millenniumdock.bravepages.com/storage/others/PotCMods.zip" target="_blank">this</a> version; the latter being more `up-to`-date, but not having all added features working properly). Anyway: After this, you do need to start a new game for working blacksmiths.
 
Cat reported a problem with trying to fix an average cardinal's guard at the IM blacksmith, because of a change I made to his dialog. Anyone else find a similiar problem?
 
Thanks a stack Pieter. I will try the fix after completing my current game. I think in my next game i am seriously going to privateer and not worry too much about the quests.
