Fixed Boarding: Stuck, but No Crash

Did a complete fresh install outside of program files, re-installed modpack, installed fix, started a new game and couldn't advance when I had killed all of the defenders on the ship I boarded :(

There was this error file in the directory

Tried with a different combination of factors, different ship attacking, ship defending, character ect. but I cannot seem to get it to work
 
I'll make another EXE tomorrow or Thursday to ensure everyone does get the latest fixes correctly installed.
Hopefully Levis sees the chance to get some more done before that time though.
 
Just to clarify, to install the fix at (Mod Release - Levis' Stuff [Nov 17] | PiratesAhoy! , the first file) all that is required is to drop the files into the install folder of POTC merge all folders and replace all files?

Like are you playing with auto skill enabled or disabled.
Which storyline are you playing
Where does the boarding take place (did you go there by open sea mod or trough the worldmap or did you encounter it in the harbor)

And everything else you can think off, if I can't replicate the problem I can't fix it...

This savegame is just before bording a ship who hoist the white flag. You cant leave deck no matter
what you do.

Playing Nataniel Hawk, tray both, manually and auto skill leveling, (just now is manually skill), boarding from world map.

Beta 4 with nov 15th installer with levis fixes
new game,
auto skill on,
Nathan hawk storyline,
got there by open sea,
boarded a xebec ship,
killed all defender,
cant move on,

It appears that we have three individual issues related to boarding and it is MASSIVELY confusing to discuss all of them interchangeably in three threads.
So I have now renamed the threads we've got and I would kindly request everyone to use the appropriate ones as much as possible:

THIS thread relates to getting stuck during boarding, WITHOUT the game crashing. Basically you just cannot continue.
It seems to be a very new issue, most likely related to the recent updates to the Levelling system that were included in the 15 Nov 2015 release.

A fix was made by @Levis not too long ago and I myself have been unable to replicate the problem.
If it is still a real issue, it seems to be inconsistent. So if you do get it, let us know if it is only sometimes or ALWAYS.
And provide as many details about the circumstances as possible.
 
Well after extensively testing it it seems like any ship boarded past a loading screen at sea (such as after map mode or sail ho loading screen in direct sail) cannot be finished.

For example on my testing initially I was doing the nathan hawk storyline, skipping intro, getting dropped into a random island, going into map mode and finding it and not being able to finish.

Then I tried doing the full tutorial and then boarding the first ship sighted after leaving the first island and it was successful

Then I tried doing a boarding action after doing the full tutorial and then map mode and then boarding, which I could not finish.

Then I tried doing a direct sail away after doing the full tutorial, then a quick loading screen of "SAIL HO" in which a pirtate ship came at me, I boarded them and then couldn't finish.

Very odd indeed :/

PS. for some reason god mode isnt working for me either, i have enabled it in internalsettings then pressed 0 on numpad in battle but im still able to be killed.

Thanks; that sounds like useful information!

Some additional questions, just to be sure:
- In your examples, you get STUCK, but the game does NOT crash, right?
- Do you have any error.log files to go with these problems?
 
No crashes at all just cant move on to next part of the boarding action

Just tried boarding a coastal ship - same game as before

Boarding completed without any problems:dance - all the way through :facepalm


Only differences from before - this was a ship sailing round an island - Not a world map encounter.

I boarded this ship - it did not board me.

No error log generated

Maybe worldmap encounters aren't initialized in the same way as coastal ones?

Could you try some more and see if this one always accompanies the problem? I strongly suspect that it doesn't.
