A bomb ketch would be a great addition, especially for the Napoleonic Mod. Hopefully someone out there with enough skill will take interest and at least model it...I'm sure we could convince Inzane to help us with the rest in regards to adding it in-game! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Is that ta big mortar in the middle? Or couldrons?

Nice ship, i like the mast position, really far back on the poop.

There are actually two big mortars on this one. This rig is called a ketch rig, for obvious reasons. They were rigged this way to prevent hitting the rigging with the mortars. Another intresting fact is that, while some bomb ketches had swivelling mortars, others had to mount springs (anchors attached to ropes that pull the ship to change direction) and turn the whole ship to aim the mortar. The captains of men-of-war, frigates, sloops, &c. thought that these ships were absurd because of their masts' positions. They were not particularly fast ships either.
