Is it possible to edit the characters_init file while you have Build 11 installed? Whenever I try to edit the file, everytime I try and start up a new game, the screen goes black, so I go back and edit it back to the way it was and the screen was still black so I end up having to reinstall the build.So is there something I can do to be able to edit the file? If not, is there some other way I can turn on invincibility(yeah I'm a cheater, go ahead and flame me <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ib012.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cry" border="0" alt="ib012.gif" /> )?

You can edit the characters_init C file with Build 11, I usually do it so I can start out with the model that I prefer to play with, so I know it can be done.
What you might want to do is copy the file before you make any changes, so if you make a change that causes a problem with reloading the game, you can switch it back without having to do a reinstall.

I found this in a search using "invincible", I realize they are talking about 10.1, but looking at my current files it appears Nathan's advice still applies.
