build 12 doesn`t work

I downloaded B12. I started a new game, but then came only darkness. I could go to the main menu and character screen and they worked. Help me!

As is wrote in the other thread, i have a german version named "Fluch der Karibik". Help! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":c" border="0" alt="mad.gif" />
 
I THINK I know what to do.... (dont hang me up on this...!)
Anyho I had the very same problem! But it disappearred when I downloaded this:

Now, I had some troubles with the dialog though, so to be SURE it works:
Download Build 11 (check european version)
Download Build 12 (UNCHECK european version)
PLAY DA GAME!

If you have a europese version: yes. It's a bit weird, but apparently, Build 12 still doesn't work properly on a `euro-version` and first installing Build 11 seems to be the only way to get it to work...
 
I had the same problem.
Download and install build11 without textures, then download and install build12 completely. It works! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" />

That does not work. Using the link of sampow gets me an error message saying

200 Type set to A
500 Illegal PORT command
500 LPRT not nderstood

And i don´t have a program for FTP (I even don´t know one).
Can´t it be loaded up in the Mod Centre again?

Build12 crashes

I got another quite similar problem. I can install b12, I can start it, but if I start a new game, the game crashes to desktop.

Were you able to play PotC before you installed B12?

Are you using a Euro version of PotC, or a US/UK version? Or Ubisoft?

Did you install B11 and then install B12? That seems to help a lot of people with this same problem.

Im running the europ. version of potc, and I was able to play it without b12
To get b12 running I needed the plain install of potc. Then I had to install b11standart with most features ( I´ll look which ones exactly and post it another time), then I had to install b12 with all features (to do so i needed the BuildSettings.h from pirates ahoi FTP). Maybe the b12 install doesn´t work sometimes and the installes gives you a message that it cant correspond with server- in that case you have to try until it can. It´s a little point and click adventure. After that it worked. Thanks.

By the way, in germany it´s 4:02 am now
I will search for a barrel of ale now
