Build 12 game crash

During the Oisean quest after boarding the ship and sailing it to Redmond I sold it out from under my feet. The Victory was assigned to one of my caotians and I wanted it back so I opened the ship transfer screen and the game made a make belive ship for me to do a trade with. After swaping ships I got the victory back but had lost my officer well I wanted him back to so I swaped ships back and birthed the Victory with the orders to assign a new captian well I got my officer back then unberthed the Victory and went to the docks while i could see the Victory sitting there I could not board her I went back to the ship yard and told them I needed to repair my ship after getting in the repair/purchas screen I did nothing but exit and the game crashed. Sorry I do not know any thing about mod building so I can not give you any reasons for this or how to fix it but I love playing games even at 43 years old and I realy appreciate the work you builders do so I can enjoy the games. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />

Where are you at in the world? The "Build 12" you are testing has not yet been optimized for localized versions of PotC, and might be causing part of your problem...

If you have a US/UK version of PotC, and are testing Build 11.99b (no, it's not the final version YET), you'll have to go back to a previous save to recover... I know that means you will have to do that battle all over again (unless you saved between the battle and your crash) and try it again...

I'm not sure precisely what your problem was - I think you needed to assign another officer to captain the Oiseau? Did you have another officer to fill the slot?

Is it that you wish to have the Victory continue as your flagship, and you wish to have the officer you originally assigned as the captain of the Oiseau to be your first officer on YOUR ship?
 
I sold both ships just wanted the cash to upgrade but have learned to not sell my flag ship but to purchas a replacement flagship always kepping a ship in the flegship spot.

Glad you are enjoying the game, I helped a little with the mods, and there are some incredibly talented people who added a LOT to this game with their mods.
