I have Build 14 Alpha 3, what updates have been created since & where can I get it ?

You're looking for 14/6 and 14/6 ad.
Make sure you follow the Instructions on Pieter's Page!!!
 
no you're not. not for the last one. that's just some untested features that only add bugs.
 
Correct. Build 14 Alpha 6 Additional is NOT a bugfix. You can, however, install PB Modifications afterwards. Don't have time to post the link right now, but it's available.

Hey lads n lasses. I'm realy keen to try 14 but I'm having real difficulty downloading it. I've tried about 5 times now, each time it starts off really promising but fails to complete the whole file. Its not at the same % each time either, and will not continue where it failed the last time as it reports as complete when its not? There's nowt wrong with my gear either, checked it all twice, amd am able to suck up larger files in the meantime... any thoughts?

Belay that... this time it has completed the download.. will install and give it try tonight <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />
 
So I installed it, not sure if I've done it correctly though.... the splash screen still says build 13? but when I start a new game I get a different start, as in I'm on a small deck on the open seas with one other chap wandering around the deck? no idea how to carry one... sorry for the noobishness... ?

after you follow Malcolm on deck turn to your right and walk along the reeling 'till the icon comes up, which takes you
to Oxbay harbor.

Couple of more questions, 'real time' sailing from one island to another is now possible, or so I've read. As I understand it, if I set course I will encounter some hostiles/friendlies ect on the way? Also, is it possible to trade with neutrals ect ship to ship wise during the journey?

I added the updates & PB Modifications & got this ..........

Did you follow Pieter's Instructions when installing 14/6?
Did you run Runme.bat?
If your 14/6 was running ok it goes back to the last fix.
I'm using a Mod Compiler to install updates and in case of
it going bang, I can take it out again and not start the hole thing
from scratch!
 
Yes I followed the instructions, it happens with the 14/6 update as well.

Where do I find a Mod Compiler ?

Yeah, being able to trade at least with another ship would be great especially if one is getting low on ammo or food/rum, maybe even obtain a quest to escort a damaged or stricken trader?
