<b>Gadin, </b>here are my thoughts on your questions:
#1 - This is just as Sir Christopher reports. There will be times when you cannot buy wheat because of the needs of the town. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
" border="0" alt="no.gif" /> In that case you need to travel to another town to get wheat, or plunder it from a ship! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/duel_pa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ixi" border="0" alt="duel_pa.gif" />
#2 - Answered well by Kiffer! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

#3 - You need to add officers from your passenger list to your landing/boarding company - look at your passenger list in the F2 menu, and find officers that have good melee skills. Click on an empty square below the scrolling portraits, and then double click on the centered portrait of the officer you wish to join you on land and during boardings. Their portrait will transfer to the square below, and you will have the beginnings of a boarding party! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

A couple of tips here - once you have your officers selected, when you are on shore you can give them better swords and healing potions to help keep them alive during attacks. Face them and hit the "Enter" key - you will see a set of icons pop up - select the two arrows in a circle icon and you will be able to give him swords, potions, pistols, and even other items to help enhance his stats.
#4 - Your spyglass works when you are sailing, only if you are in first person - when at sea, hit the "TAB" key to go into first person, and you will see an aiming reticle. Point this at another ship, and then press and hold the "Ctrl" key. You will get a `close-up` view of that ship, and info underneath that view.
Those red, blue, and white bars above your ship's icon tell you the "health" of your ship at a glance, and are a little bit screwed up from NathanKell's last tweak - this is a known issue, and I think Nathan was going to try to figure out why this was happening, but he has been absent of late because he's been pretty busy with "real life" (whatever that means!)... I'm sure he'll pop back sometime soon and he may have a fix too! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
