Buying Navy ships...

So, im playing the Build 14 Alpha 6 update 2 (its what is wrote in the menu screen, but i installed B14A7 if im not mistake). I bought a Letter of Marque for Britain and Im already a Knight, but still cant buy any Navy ship. I only have my beloved HMS Surprise because a french privateer was wandering in Redmond waters onboard her when i got orders to engage this privateer. But i want to buy British Navy ships, i dont want to have to board any british ship to have it.

Do anyone know if the privateer ranking will allow me to buy Navy ships in this build mod? Also, do anyone know which rank do we have to be promoted to in order to buy a specific class of Navy ships?

This is driving me nuts already.

that's odd. i think you should alreayd be able to buy the smaller ones. can you buy chebecs?

i can buy all ships up to class 4. But this is since i was promoted to Captain or less than that i guess. I was promoted to Viscount now and nothing changed till far.

In BuildSettings.h set #define SY_RPG_STYLE 0

Put it to 0 instead of 1 to be able to buy any ship.

that's.... one of solving it. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> really, i don't know why it doesn't work. i hardly used it myself, and didn't join the navy when i did. i prefer nabbing the ships.

Check the REALISTIC_SHIP_PURCHASE settings in PROGRAM\InternalSettings.h.
