CANNOT INSTALL PIRATES!

I get this error message after install:

The wizard was interrupted before Sid Meier's Pirates! could be completely installed.

Click finish to exit the wizard.

I've gotten this exact message when installing "TONY HAWK UNDERGROUND 2", "CALL OF DUTY - United Offensive". And now Pirates!


PLEASE HELP!

p.s: The message appears after everything's been isntalled. I don't do anything to interrupt the installation process.

My friend, I think this is the Pirates of the Caribbean Technical forum, whereas you seemed to encounter a problem while installing good ol' Sid's Pirates! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=")" border="0" alt="smile2.gif" />

Do you have admin rights on your computer?

Can someone help. I have just tried to load Pirates and the following error comes up

16:28 failed to complete installation

I cannot progress any further. I have Windows XP and all other system requirements are fine.

Please help.

I'm having the exact same problem. If I figure it out I will post what to do. If anyone else has figures it out, please do the same.

Turn off your computer as soon as it says "registering product". It worked for me... so far anyway. I'm playing without issue as of this writing.

Someone posted this in another thread and someone else responded saying "I seriously doubt it will work". Well it does. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Insalled product successfully after cutting off computer at "registering product" also.

It's a problem with your InstallShield, it sounds like. Try updating it; failing that, try a system restore.
