Can't get bombs

since downloading the build 12 and the post build mod-pack, i don't start with any bombs whenever i start a new game, and can't buy them in shops (although i've only had time to try Oxbay and Redmond). Is this supposed to happen or is it something i need to change in one of the files?

Yes, it is supposed to happen. It's historically more correct.

The bombs have been turned off. You should just use regular cannon balls instead. But, once you get used to it, it isn't really such a problem. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

Looking through your BuildSettings.h mod config file before playing is a good way to catch stuff like this. Most of the important mod changes are at least mentioned there (the current release makes several references to use of the Cannon Realism mod, for example), and there typically options to adjust values or turn the mod on/off altogether.
