hi i have been reskinning some rooms for the game when my little brother said to me why dont i ask people what they want and do that for them...so this what this thread is about.

if you want your captain room to be rodecroated please secify a colour below and i will make thee room for you i have uploaded a couple of examples.

To be honest, I prefer stock room, with no recoloring like that. I'm kinda used to the walls having wood textures.
 
of all of them, i like the red one the best. it's got warmth, and colour. the blue and green just seem too "flat", with no kind of realistic feeling to them at all, and the black is just plain. the only thing i liked about the black one was the chest. the rest just didn't reach the standards of the red one. but, i won't be able to definately tell you which is trully the best until we see it with lighting...

also, while we're on the topic of captain's cabins, whatever happened to the large warship's cabin, that used to show up only when you were boarding a ship, and only sometimes? i think it should be made to be the cabin on the larger warships, such as the 74 gunner, the Battleship, the MOW, and the HMS Victory when it's completed. i know that it is possible since the cabins seem to be highlighted to ship rank, since i never got randomized cabins while sailing.
 
but they are right, they are a bit plain, i had that same problem with some of my own skins, then Kazeite said that you could desaturate with ADOBE PHOTOSHOP. Since that moment my skinning is improved.

If I'm understanding the code right, you only get the largest boarding cabin when boarding a pinnace, brig or galleon. Ships_init.c has the initial boarding location, and Locations\init\boarding.c has the chain of boarding locations that ends with the proper cabin. The Battleship, for example, ends up with the tutorial cabin.

It may be possible to tweak some of these so you get the cabins you want, but the same initial boarding position will always give the same final boarding cabin. And I notice that two of the initial boarding positions are never used. I don't know if these actually work.

Here are the inside names for the various cabins:

"Boarding_Cabin_small" - Tiny cabin
"Boarding_Cabin_medium" - 3 room cabin
"Boarding_Cabin1" - Tutorial cabin
"Boarding_Cabin2" - Cabin with balcony outside
"Boarding_Cabin3" - Cabin with wraparound gallery

a request: could anyone show me pics of "Boarding_Cabin2" and "Boarding_Cabin3" ?
and could someone make that large cabin that's usually on Galleons and Pinnaces, available for the MOWs or at least give me a good lok at them? i'm kinda limited to what i could see around the captain i was talking to after they surrendered..... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

personally i don't like them all cause its "to much" colour snappie(jack sparrow mimics)
