Hello I'm new here...

I know topics like this are all over the place because I read most of them <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bookish.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":mm" border="0" alt="bookish.gif" /> but the is not that matches my scenario:

When I capture a fort a ton of the quest triggers freeze up my game an example being <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" /> hm... like when I go to Quebras Costillas afterwards to meet the diplomat I freeze upon entering the place because it's the first time and I need to see the fight, but it just freezes without letting me see it, I've let it sit for `15-30min` still noothing, the menus work the game doesn't <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
 
Hummm... Have you tried using quick travel to get to the tavern from the port, so you avoid the fight with Nigel and Artois?

My character just stands there uncontrollably... I've tried loading a game b4 that andd tried going in there again, I've tried saving and loading at that point, butthe only thing that helped was to go into there and see the fight b4 bringing down the fort but even then there is a different bug:
ALL of the towns become ghost towns, and I've sailed around for 2 months and they down't get repopulated, strage that I can still hire officers at the taverns....
