captured ship captains

i got dozens of them, what can i do with them? all the while they had been sitting on my ship and eating my food and getting fatter and fatter.
i saw ransom money for each of them was around 1-2K. but the only options for them was greyed out.

You can only ransom them on an island of their country. If you have bad relations with a country you can "sneak in" to one of its islands, and then ransom the prisoners from from that country. Hope that helps.

Actually you can Ransome them all at the Isle of Mona...pirates and other nationaly....I checked..it says realease I I got paid.
