Caves and secret swords

I cannot remember now, but I know that there are caves and catacombs in the game, full of skeletons that are suppossed to have really great swords.

I think that one of them is on Oxbay and you have to swing to the right of the port, but... I'm not sure, and I dont know anyone more <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> , the best sword that I have is the Brazo de Colon "patched" by the blacksmith, but I still think that there are better swords in the game.

any ideas??
 
Yes. Yes, I miss that too, though the trade off is worth it. But I rarely go down in the caves much anymore. Yes yes!! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" /> but I thought that they said : Yer gonna die poor human" but anyway.... was a really nice part of the game, I spent a lots of hours on the caves and catacombs fighting with the skeletons on my own, without officers, cause due to the small corridors, was better to be alone.

Trade is good for rep and xp, also gives good money, but... is so bored.... I like to be a Corsario Español! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" /> and is what I'm right now, with the marque letter (I think that its the word) in spanish its called Patente de Corso.
 
Ye can return Skellies te de dungeons in BuildsettingsH file,look for Skellies Back on Mod,change 0 te 1,an presto yer fightn skellies again <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
 
There are dungeons in Oxbay (accessed by a swim or from a doorway near the shipyard), and also in Redmond (a door near the church).

The "special swords" are now random instead of being found in particular places. You can sometimes find really GREAT swords in Oxbay right after the tutorial - if you've practiced a long time with Malcolm and gotten your level up to 4! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />

And Catalina, I've found the Oxbay cave, I'll check the Redmond one, thx.

I've have a super sword now, Corsair Pride, `25-50` Damage (more or less) and 93% of piercing!! but only 13% or so of defense, dont remember it well, I played hours ago <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

Is there any better sword than this one??
 
There's the Solingen Rapier and the Cardinal's Guard, I like those two and the Bosun's Mate, not sure which is the best. If you look in PROGRAMSITEMSinitITEMS.c, you can see the stats for all of the swords in the game.

I always liked the skellies too. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/oops3.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":eek:ops2" border="0" alt="oops3.gif" />
 
I think the Solingen Rapier has the best blocking... Depends upon what you want more, piercing or blocking... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />
